Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Lenton, operated by Sahand Khademi. By creating an account or using Lenton, you agree to them. Lenton is currently an early-stage, invite-only product — expect rough edges, and treat it accordingly.

The service

Lenton is a personal German-learning tool: clickable dual subtitles, vocabulary tracking, reading, and related features. It is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including no guarantee of uptime, data durability beyond reasonable care, or fitness for a particular purpose. This is an early product from a solo developer, not a funded company with an operations team.

Your account

Content and copyright

Video, subtitle, and lyric content you view through Lenton belongs to its original rights holders — Lenton doesn't claim ownership of it, and displaying it for personal, private study is not an offer to redistribute it. Any licensed music streaming happens through your own Apple Music or Spotify account and subscription; Lenton does not host, download, or redistribute that audio.

Your own vocabulary notes, saved words, and similar content you create remain yours. By using the service you grant us only the limited right to store and process that content as needed to provide the service to you.

Acceptable use

Don't use Lenton to violate the law, infringe others' rights, attempt to bypass its access controls, or interfere with the service or other users. We may remove content or restrict access in response to a violation.

Beta status and changes

Features may change, be added, or be removed as the product develops — including features you're currently using. We'll try to avoid surprises with your data specifically (see the Privacy Policy for how backups and export work), but the feature set itself is not guaranteed to stay the same during this early stage.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lenton and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited (for example, liability for intentional misconduct).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to its conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your own country of residence gives you additional rights that cannot be waived.
